User Notes for ryan's 90 gallon

Site Upgrades, Fish + Anemone finally!	Fri, Aug 24 2007
Last week the file uploads got a dramatic overhaul. There's a spiffy new file uploader that gives you statistics while uploading, so you know how fast your data's sending and how long till it's done! Best of all, it's coded by yours truly with no need to install anything like flash or the like! Best of all, almost one year to the day, the two clowns in my tank finally started hosting the RBTA! One milestone closer to spawning and then breeding attempts can beign! :dance:
Hyposalinity	Tue, Jun 12 2007
Well were at the two week mark for the hyposalinity treatment, everything is going very well. The fish seem to have some dark coloring around their gills which I'm not sure I like. Some of their fins are a touch on the rough side, certainly they are stressed from the move and now the hypo, but eating quite well. I haven't checked any water parameters yet, should prolly get to that soon eh, yah... Last, my skimmer on the main system all but stopped sucking in air yesterday. I decided to take a much closer look at what was up with the pump. Unhooked from the skimmer body the pump was flowing at the rate it should be, but even unhooked it still wasn't drawing any air. DOH, I never cleaned out the little adapter the air hose fits to and it was caked with calcium. WHUPS!

Well, I'm finally done setting up all the new stuff. The fish are all in QT and doing well. The flame angel thought he'd be a hero and jump out. Luckily I found him before he was too late. Sank like a rock initially but ended up good as new after a few hours. Lucky dog, scared me for a bit there.

Many thanks to Josh (Thorium) for helping me move my reef over to the new house. All the inverts and corals are in the new 75gal sump while the fish are in a 72gal quarentine. The 90gal display is going to be setup tonight. On a side note, one of the most incredible things happened the hour before we moved the 90gal out of my old house. With about 25% of the LR left in my DT; all that was left was the fish and a couple rocks with my RBTA on one of them. So one hour before we move the 90 out of my old house the clowns FINALLY hosted the RBTA! It's been nearly a year coming and they chose the hour before a move to hop in. What a sight that was!
